Graduate Intern
Description
Geisinger Health System’s Center for Emerging Technology and Informatics at the Institute for Advanced Application is seeking candidates for a Graduate Internship.
Educational Requirement:  Graduate student working toward PhD (preferred) in the field of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math and Statistics or other related fields
Project Involvement:
1.      Help with large-scale medical data and image cleaning, scrubbing and preparation
2.      Analyze, process and transform data using various techniques in image processing, machine learning and big data analysis
3.      Building scalable predictive models using state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning techniques
Desired Skills and Experience:
1.      Right mindset to work in a fast-paced research environment on healthcare projects
2.      Ability to build scalable predictive models on real medical image and data
3.      Background in image processing, computer vision, machine learning, statistics and big data analysis
4.      Experience writing performant code in at least one of the following languages: Matlab, R and Python
5.      Experience with deep learning is a big plus
6.      Experience with medical image analysis is a plus
7.      Experience with CUDA and GPU programming is a plus
8.      Experience with Linux operating system is a plus
